A los tres socios que fundaron La Central en 1996 les dijeron que las librer\u00edas independientes no ten\u00edan futuro, que lo \u00fanico que funcionaban eran las cadenas. Por si fuero poco, su idea era especializarse en Historia y en Filosof\u00eda, \u00abpero nos empez\u00f3 a ir muy bien con literatura general, con libros raros e incluso con poes\u00eda\u00bb, dec\u00eda Antonio Ramirez en una entrevista quince a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de liarse la manta a la cabeza. Ahora tienen seis librer\u00edas, de las mejores del pa\u00eds, algunas situadas en museos emblem\u00e1ticos. Una gran referencia, una maravilla. \u00abLo que tiene que empujar a ir a una librer\u00eda no es un libro en concreto\u00bb, insiste Ram\u00edrez, \u00absino la curiosidad, el ansia, la inquietud cultural\u00bb.<\/p>\n

La central de La Central se fund\u00f3 en Barcelona en 1996 y desde entonces han creado una propuesta cultural cosmopolita como pocas. Aterrizaron en Madrid con la librer\u00eda del Reina Sof\u00eda, que los lectores empezamos a visitar independientemente de nuestro inter\u00e9s por el museo. Y luego abrieron el t\u00f3tem de Callao. Tienen narrativa, ensayo, arte, poes\u00eda, teatro, historia, c\u00f3mics, infantil y secciones enteras dedicadas a la literatura internacional, en sus idiomas originales. Sus recomendaciones est\u00e1n impecablemente seleccionadas, a veces por tem\u00e1tica, a veces por \u00e9poca, a veces por autor y te deleitan mientras subes las escaleras, en cada panel, en cada mesa, en cada esquina.\u00a0Una gran librer\u00eda independiente, un para\u00edso lector\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
