Sita en un bajo min\u00fasculo al que se accede por un patio, forradas de libros sus paredes, algunos los alcanzas con la escalera de madera maciza que le da nombre. Yoko fue tan puntual que tuvimos que hacer tiempo con una taza de t\u00e9. Parec\u00eda que no hab\u00eda nada preparado y de repente ya estaban las sillas dispuestas y los libros expuestos y lleg\u00f3 gente: de habla hispana, periodistas, la adorable librera con may\u00fasculas Margarita Rubi, un se\u00f1or que hab\u00eda dirigido un Instituto Cervantes, el m\u00fasico experimental Kriton Klingler\u2011Ioannides, Bibiana Candia y la albacea literaria de Dambudzo Marechera, Flora Veit-Welt. por supuesto Pepe Pizzi y Germ\u00e1n estaban all\u00ed. Y Fernando Lasarte Prieto, el traductor. No grab\u00e9 nada. Puse el tel\u00e9fono en una estanter\u00eda y creo que se grab\u00f3 la breve introducci\u00f3n que hizo Pepe, eso es todo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"grid__item one-whole portable--auto lap--auto palm--auto top-no-padding bottom-no-padding \" data-style=\"\">\n<p>Todos estaban sentados mirando hacia la ventana, algunos en semic\u00edrculo y otros de frente. Yoko estaba sentada donde est\u00e1 la mesa, flanqueada por Fernando y por m\u00ed; y al lado de Fernando se sent\u00f3 Flora, invitada de honor. La presentaci\u00f3n fue en espa\u00f1ol, alem\u00e1n, un poco de ingl\u00e9s e incluso japon\u00e9s porque la autora ley\u00f3 algunos fragmentos del original. Fernando cont\u00f3 lo mucho que se hab\u00eda sentido identificado con la obra ya que la protagonista se dedica a su profesi\u00f3n, la traducci\u00f3n simult\u00e1nea.
